Well, Here I am another year older and with Christmas right around the corner. I now have a 7 month old son and, when I think about the future, it is less and less about me and more about how what Carrie and I do will affect him. How do I give him the best opportunities I can? How do I show him a good way to live his life, what is right and what is wrong? Fatherhood is making me think, while at the same time it bums me out that I don't have the freedom I once had. There are trade offs in life, though and this has been a good one.
So at this holiday season, I am thankful for my family, for my wife and son as well as the aunts and uncles and grandparents of my boy. I look forward to the new year and all that it may bring. I hope for professional improvement, growth as a husband and father, and for the health, safety, and prosperity of my friends and family. May the Lord watch over us and bless us all in the coming year.
